JERSEY GIRL
Born and raised in Manalapan, New Jersey and living so close to Manhattan proved to be essential for Alyssa with her dream of pursuing a career in the entertainment and modeling industries. She transferred to Los Angeles but she calls New Jersey a home. Alyssa is half Italian and says that she’s proud to be one. No wonder whyher beauty is unique and rare. She is a natural blonde but changed her hair color to red for a school play and decided to keep it to match up her fiery image. During her free time, Alyssa’s favorite pastimes include reading, exercising,
traveling, and cooking/baking. She loves learning about history and science. Alyssa produly confesses that she is a nerd “I’m obsessed with the Stuart and Tudor era, Whenever I go to Barnes & Noble I’m always in the history section and that is where you will find me.”Alyssa has a passion for cooking and baking. Itis one of her hobby despite her busy schedules. Plus,she was happy to know that her current roommate (Leila, Miss Universe 2011) knows how to cook too.
MODEL LIFE
It will always be a picture perfect moment for with Alyssa. Her entire physical aspect is made for modeling. Be it high fashion, editorial or commercial. She began modeling at the age of 16 nad has model for numerous brands such as: Sherri Hill, Serendipity prom, Mon Cheri Bridal, Sophia Tolli, James Clifford, Rina di Montella, Nordstrom, Macy and Tilly's. She also modeled for romance book covers and thriller novels. In summer 2009, she became the face of Wet N' Wild cosmetics.
AMERICAN DREAM
Alyssa tried her luck twice in the Miss New Jersey pageant but the odds wasn't in het favor. When she moved to California, the doors were opened for new opportunities and possibilities. She won the Miss California 2011 pageant and became an instant favorite in the Miss USA 2011 pageant. She won the competition as what everyone predicted and expected. She represented her country, United States in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant in Sao Paolo, Brazil. She placed in the top 16 but didn't advanced further. Leila Lopes of Angola, won the pageant. Right now, she is a successful model who walks in fashion weeks and appeared in Tv commercials.
